Is my donation tax-deductible?
In the Fall of 2025, Mikey’s Legacy Foundation was incorporated as a BC society with purposes to support other registered charities. The Foundation submitted an application for charitable registration, but it has not yet received confirmation of charitable registration from Canada Revenue Agency.
Mikey’s Legacy Foundation can still accept cash gifts before it obtains charitable registration which will be used in furtherance of its purposes, but until the Foundation becomes a registered charity it is not able to provide official donation receipts for gifts made to it. If Mikey’s Legacy Foundation becomes a registered charity, it intends to issue official donation receipts, if requested by the donor, for all eligible cash gifts in excess of $100.00 received in 2026 to the extent permitted by applicable laws and CRA policy.
Where does my donation go?
Donations support initiatives that improve mental health outcomes through prevention, education, community programs, and research aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
What is the connection between Mikey’s Run and the Foundation?
Mikey’s Run is the primary fundraising event supporting the work of the Foundation. Funds raised through the run help support mental health initiatives and programs aligned with the Foundation’s purpose.
Can I make a donation in memory or in honor of someone?
Yes. Many supporters choose to give in honor or memory of someone important to them. You can indicate this when making your donation.
How can my organization or business become a sponsor?

Who oversees the Foundation?
Mikey’s Legacy Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who provide oversight, accountability, and strategic direction.
